Gimp-2.1

Gimp-2.1 finally turned up on our local mirror so I have installed it.

After last weeks discussion re the file selector I would like to say that I prefer the 2.1 selector.

Different strokes for different folks I guess

did you build it from a tarball or did you get it as a binary?

the developers are very clear about not wanting binaries of the development version of gimp to be distributed.

the old linux approach to this is configurability. this widget should not meet just my needs or just yours.

it is a computer. we are humans. who is in charge?
