Floating windows

I know this has been talked about before and has been asked to remember position of all the popup windows, but has anyone ever suggested having them docked instead? I realize this wouldn't work for big plugins like gmic or gimpressionist, but for the bulk of filters and adjustment windows this would be great. It could be another tab in the tool options dock.

I notice that most windows are unable to be sized smaller, so I'm not sure if it's even feasible with the current window management, but I would happily make my toolbox a little wider to never have to deal with moving a popup window every single time I open one.

Just a thought.

Go to the Window menu and enable Single Window mode?
