can't install GTK+ on Debian 3.0 r1

Hi!
First, I dont know if this is the right place to ask help for the gtk package, but I'm having some problems when istalling the newer GTK+.

When I'm trying to install the ATK it says that GLIB compiles, but cant start it.

Well, the right place to ask is gtk-list@gnome.org -- but a wild guess is that it might help to run ldconfig, if you haven't done so.
