GIMP 2 WINDOWS FAILURE

Hi!

Just installed GIMP 2 on an WinXP Pro machine. 512MB RAM, plenty of hardrive space. GTK and GIMP seemed to install fine. I used GIMP a few times, then I experienced GIMP start-up problems, and eventually it failed to start each and every time I tried. Two menus would come up and then freeze eventually crash the app.

Any thoughts?
