iMac scanner + GIMP

Hi
Got an iMac and couldn´t get SANE to work, not even finding the scanner, I bought the light edition of VueScan instead(19US-dollars?). The afterwork GIMP fixed well.
You need to be your own Steve Jobs to install SANE.

Want to lose scanner

GIMPers -

I tried adding a scanner for GIMP use on a linux system, but the sensor
was not useful to me. Now I get a warning the sensor isn't available each
time I start the GIMP. How can I suppress the warning or remove the test
for that scanner?
