When I try to save a picture I have worked on it always tells me I'm not authorized to save it. How do I become authorized so I can save my edited photos?

defaults to save in a folder on the read-only device? What if you try
to save in your home folder? Where exactly did you get GIMP from?/ Martin

What is your OS and in which directory are you trying to save the picture ?_______________________________________________

Thanks to all those who replied to my question about being able to save changes I would make to a picture and it would say I was not authorized to save it. I went into properties and unchecked the box that said read only. That seemed to take care of the problem.
