Metacity and ALT

Hi!

I have updated my system from sawfish(+gnome-1.4) to metacity(and gnome2.4).

ALT+'hold LeftMouseButton and move' is to move the window (in metacity). But it makes impossible to use gimp 1.2, since keybindings are trapped by metacity, it does not get through to gimp.

How can I change this button to WINDOWS(tm) button?(or to CONTROL-ALT button)
I know it's not a gimp specific problem, but I can't use more my gimp(currently 1.2)

Thx in advance, Khiraly

This is rebindable, as far as I know.

In any case, on window managers which grab Alt-drag, you can use Ctrl-Alt-drag as an alternative. kwm 2 used to grab Alt too, so at one stage this was a FAQ. Anyone want to start maintaining one? :)

Cheers,
Dave.
