How good are you at programming?

OMG, that is nothing for me at all!

I've been coding a little bit but I'm not very fit at it

I'm pretty good at programming and would maybe be able to write a Plug-In for GIMP

I'm very good at programming and I would theoretically be able to hack for the GIMP core

Issues on DOCKS

http://docs.gimp.org/2.6/en/gimp-concepts-docks.html

*****************************

The documentation uses the following image, which differs from mine (see
attached PNG). You will notice that I have an extra menu item: Show
Button Bar

http://docs.gimp.org/2.6/en/images/using/tab-menu.png

Problem with the documentation that I should fix, or something special
about my Fedora Core 11 installation?

*****************

Moving rights along, look at Figure 3.9

http://docs.gimp.org/2.6/en/images/using/dialog-highlight-tabmenu.png

Notice that the tab menu button is circled (as it should be). Now, look
directly to the right of the tab menu button, there is an x. I do not
have this x. The "Close Tab" entry mentions a "Close Tab" button, and I
assume that they refer to this x. I do not have this x. Again, is this
an issue with my setup, in which case I will push on. Otherwise, I will
probably take some more screen shots and remove references to the "Close
Tab" button.

*****************

Do I need to take new screen shots, or is there something about my
installation?

The screens-shot seems to be from GIMP 2.4 and needs to be updated.

Again, the screen-shot is from 2.4. The 'Close' button has been removed
in GIMP 2.6.
