Please can we have a single-window UI

I know this is redundant but I don't know what else to do,

Myself and many other members of the Archlinux community (and anyone using
Linux with a tiling window manager for that matter) humbly beg you (the
developers) for a single-windowed version of GIMP.

We've been hearing about it for months now...If it's not on the agenda,
could someone explain to me why?
I can't imagine it being overly difficult to do.

If there's anything I can do to help please let me know!

Thank you for your time,

Evan LeCompte

Compile git master (or wait for 2.7.1 which will be released soon) and
enable Windows -> Single-window mode.

Still in development, in particular it is not possible to start up in
single-window mode, but at least you'll have your single-windowed GIMP.

In my blog I have some posts regarding the development of the
single-window mode and UI in general.

Out of curiosity - what are the primary sources (as in news sources) you're using to stay up-to-date with GIMP development?

Regards,
Michael
