problem building the docs

Hey folks,

I just run into a weird indexing error recently. After the HTML docs have been built:

ERROR: the 'kosek' index method does not work with the xsltproc XSLT processor.

Do I need some bleeding edge templates or software or what?

PS: xsltproc -V:

Using libxml 20626, libxslt 10117 and libexslt 813 xsltproc was compiled against libxml 20626, libxslt 10117 and libexslt 813 libxslt 10117 was compiled against libxml 20626 libexslt 813 was compiled against libxml 20626

Thanks a bunch!

Greetings,

hmm, guess it works for me:

- -- Generating index for en *** Generating index files ***

no problemo ...

Do I need some bleeding edge templates or software or what?

PS: xsltproc -V:

Using libxml 20626, libxslt 10117 and libexslt 813 xsltproc was compiled against libxml 20626, libxslt 10117 and libexslt 813
libxslt 10117 was compiled against libxml 20626 libexslt 813 was compiled against libxml 20626

$ xsltproc -V
Using libxml 20626, libxslt 10117 and libexslt 813 xsltproc was compiled against libxml 20626, libxslt 10117 and libexslt 813

ups, seems I'm exactly the on the same edge as you, but not bleeding (yet) :)

hth, lexA

btw. I'm working with slightly modified stylesheets. May be that makes a difference??

Thanks a bunch!

Greetings,

It should be mine bug :(

Looks like you have very recent docbook-xsl-stylesheets with autoidx-kosek.xsl for index. Hm, they made our life harder with giving such strange error while actually xsltproc works fine with autoidx-ng.

I think we probably should revert to autoidx version then, it's sad we'll loose nice index generated with autoidx-ng. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: not available

Hm ... actually I can build the docs on my home PC. This doesn't fix the problem at all, but would give us time for a fix (whoever fixes it)?

Thanks a lot for your "help", but it didn't help me. I visited these links for a long time and the problem was I never found nor got relevant explanations about what to do after subscribing and confirming.^M Sorry, but about your e-mail I spent several days to suppose (and understand) that it was possible to communicate by the mean of an attached text file ! It's not a normal way in e-mails !^M I was very in anger because anywhere there are relevant and clear explanations for new people.^M Fortunatly I succeed to contact Julien Hardelin by another way. If I had not been able to do it I will have quite simply given up trying to propose a collaboration.^M The processes to enter the collaboration area are much too sophisticated and too obscure (even robotised) to be convenient for a new people. It's what I think.^M Thank you for your implication in my vexations. ^M

Err - what are you meaning by your mail? And what are you refering to? I just can't follow your explainations ...

What are your problems anyway?

Hi Pierre,

Well, thats great!

I followed instructions in subscribing and consequently : nothing, no explanations to go forward ! I wrote an SOS and YOU wrote me three or four times the same e-mail quite blank, except an attached text file containing only links to site for fill in a form... and for me to a dead end...

That must be a big mistake. This is the second mail I'm receiving from you. Are you sure the mails you got where directly from me?

I always sign my mails with a PGP key. Are the mails you got from me signed?

thus nonefficient for my problem, but as I am a polite man I answered you by mean I thought to be the right one and writing what I thought about too sophisticated processes and inefficient explanations for new and inexperienced people like me... all ingredients to discourage the best goodwills !

Well, if thats the case I'm very sorry for that. Are you still interested in contributing to the manual? What do you need?

Seems that you're subscribed to the list, so could you please stay on the list for asking questions regarding the manual contribution?

Greetings,
