Tutorial Help

Hello all,

I am playing with The Gimp at the moment (I never thought I would say that in an email LOL!) and I am having difficulty with one of the tutorials in the beginners section (yep, I'm that bad!)...

In the ' Using the layer mask' I cannot seem to get the text layer copied into the mask of the picture layer.

Can anyone give me some pointers?
